Students will explore the wonderful world of watercolor while creating a beautiful cityscape with a sky full of fireworks. First, young artists will be led through a step-by-step easy to follow drawing of a cityscape with fireworks. We will use a ruler and a pencil for the outline. We will discuss what color combinations work well together for the fireworks, students can choose whatever colors they like for their fireworks. We will also discuss what contrast is. We will then add brightly colored crayons to prepare our artworks for the wax-resist watercolor technique. Lastly, students will learn how to use the wet-wash watercolor technique to complete their beautiful cityscapes. Students are welcome to share their beautiful artworks with their peers at the end of the class. Please refer to the supply list to see what your child needs for this class. *Please note: This class will not be cancelled due to low enrollment.
