Let’s Draw and Paint a Tree showing the 4 Seasons. We will start of the drawing by sectioning our paper into 4 using a ruler...One section for each season (Summer, Winter, Fall and Spring) We will then draw the tree so that a part of it falls into all 4 sections. We will discuss things that typically signify each season and draw those in the appropriate section...For example a snowman in the Winter Section, Scarecrow and pumpkins for Fall etc. Finally we will paint our drawing using colors usually associated with each season...For example Bright yellow for summer, earthy colors for Fall etc. This is a guided drawing class but students are able to be creative with their own choice of colors and finishing touches. Note: Please do not use printer/copy paper...children are disappointed when their work is floppy and doesn't hold up to painting. If you are unable to get a watercolor pad then mixed media would be another choice. A drawing paper pad, though not meant for painting could work as the paper is a little sturdier.
