Class Experience
Let’s draw a beautiful cake together! Young artists will be led through a step by step drawing of a layered cake. Learners have the option to add as many tiers as they wish. We will discuss what makes a great pattern. Patterns can be created from lines, shapes, or a combination of the two. You can think of your own creative patterns, or roll the 'pattern dice' to get a pattern combination idea for each cake tier. We will carefully outline the patterns with water-based markers. I have been an art educator for over 25 years. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Art Education (K-12) from the University of Central Oklahoma. I have taught in public schools, private schools, as well as homeschool co-op groups and private lessons. I have been teaching art on Outschool since August 2021.
