Draw More Alligator Pie Shapes and Lines | Part 2 In this fun, interactive drawing class, learners will be introduced to “Lammy “ a stuffed toy who appears as a character inside the book, "Alligator Pie" written by Dennis Lee. As we read the book, students will count the number of times she and other characters appear. This will familiarize learners with what colours were used and plan their colouring page. Then we’ll explore the new mystery shape, and play a drawing game as in the previous...
- The learning goal is to discover and apply imagination through a drawing game. Also, exploration of characters in the story.
I was honoured to win a nation wide contest to illustrate Dennis Lee's reprint of Alligator Pie. I have illustrated five published children's books in total. I graduated from a Canadian Art College in Visual Communications, then worked as an illustrator for thirty years, doing mostly editorial and advertising commissions. I have done numerous, live drawing presentations for elementary age children at schools and libraries. Most recently, I taught Illustration and drawing fundamentals for seven years at a Canadian Art University.
