~All dates and dragons are set on the calendar. I will cancel any classes that do not have the minimum of 6 learners required to hold a class.

I will take your student on a journey, Inspire, and build confidence. I will open the class 5 minutes early to answer questions and see any art your artist wants to show me and the class.

~ IMPORTANT~ Be on time for class!
This is a step-by-step lesson, and you need to be on time. If your artist is late, I will let them in class, and they can participate where we are in the drawing. I will offer your artist the option of doing the complete lesson on the recording after class has finished and the lesson has been uploaded to the cloud.

This class requires a pencil, an eraser, and a piece of paper. If your artist prefers to draw digitally I encourage that but do not teach digitally.

~~Your artist will learn how to break down the dragon into simple shapes, build the character, and then add the details. Foreshortening, shape, proportion, texture, and shading will be discussed in each session.

~Artists can follow step by step and ask questions. I will give feedback on the student's progress and suggestions to improve their artistic skills. Artists are encouraged to hold their art up to the camera multiple times each class if they want help or encouragement, although this is optional. Artists are also welcome to ask at any point during classany point, so they never have to worry about getting stuck.

~As always in any of my classes, I encourage artists to create in their style or follow along with me as we create dragons. I will do a different dragon and take requests each week for a variety of dragons.

~Paper, a pencil, and an eraser are all you need. For the supplies I will use for each lesson please see the supplies needed. Digital drawing, colored pencils, or markers are always welcome in class! I encourage every artist to use what works best for them.

ABOUT
In this workshop, your artists will learn to draw a few new Dragons in each class. I love to draw the dragons your artist requests! No drawing experience is needed for this class! I will teach everything your artist needs to know in every drawing class properly!

BEFORE CLASS
Students should start logging into class about 5 mins before the scheduled start time. This allows time for you to resolve any technical issues with your device's connection. If you are using a battery-powered device (laptop, Ipad, etc) be sure it is fully charged or connected to the power supply.

I will use this time for students to show me any art they have completed and any questions before starting the class session.

START OF CLASS
First thing, we will go over the supplies needed for the lesson and will ask each student their name. I encourage students to use the chatbox during class for questions. If they have an answer to my questions, they are then allowed to unmute to answer the question. I love class participation! Especially when we learn from each other about art!

Then I will begin the step-by-step process of drawing out our character in easy-to-follow instructions. Each step will be broken down to the simplest form using common shapes like circles and lines. My favorite is comparing shapes to food! Like a potato or a pizza. This frees the artist to allow for imperfections in their initial sketch. Once we build our character out, we will add details, texture, shading, and form to our drawing.

END OF CLASS
At the end of class, each student can show their work on the screen and tell the class about their work! This is a big confidence booster! You can see how much they worked and listened in class when they held up their final art piece! Thank you for encouraging your artist to be creative!

The holiday season is here! I would love to help you keep your artists creating over the holiday breaks. Until the new year, I have lowered the prices of all my self-paced courses. No coupons are needed. This is a reminder that my ongoing courses will not be scheduled for the weeks of Christmas and Thanksgiving.

Thank you!

Unleash your inner artist with drawing lessons for young creators!
Do you have a young artist who loves drawing:

Dragons like Toothless from HTTYD or the fierce tribes of Wings of Fire?
The brave cats of Warrior Clans or the wonders of real animals?
Maybe their imagination wants to create something entirely new!
No matter what they love to draw, I'm here to help them learn and grow!

My passion is to inspire young people to:
~Find courage and confidence in their creativity.
~Master the skills to bring their artistic visions to life.
~Have fun and enjoy the process of creating.

From basic drawing techniques to exploring different mediums, my interactive classes are designed to:
~Build confidence and self-esteem.
~Spark the imagination and fuel creativity.
~Develop essential skills like observation and problem-solving.
~Most importantly, foster a lifelong love for art!

Whether your young artist is a beginner or wants to refine their skills, I have a class for them!

My journey began with sketching as a child and working on graphic designs for T-shirts as a teen. As an adult, I have designed and painted larger-than-life murals and now teach art classes to the public. I currently teach weekly live worldwide art classes online. I get in-person interaction with my local events for those in the Houston, Texas, area!

I reside in Houston, Texas, and I am a homeschooled mom of three. (2 graduated, and one will graduate in 2024). And a proud U.S. Marine Mom! When not putting my latest art onto paper, I can be found "pumping iron" at the gym with my husband of over 27 years. My family is very committed to saving animals, and our house is always full of foster animals from our local animal shelter! Beware, you may see or hear a puppy, kitten, or guinea pig in a live class!

My passion is inspiring young people to find courage and confidence in their creations! Imagination is the doorway to being able to express yourself and be happy!
Motto: Be who you needed when you were younger.
