Students will become cartoonists as they learn to draw comical characters with oversized heads and funny facial expressions.
Class experience
This class has been highly liked by all of my "in classroom" students. I will have samples of facial parts, noses, and mouths, up loaded for students, to choose from, to create their own individual cartoon character. I will start them out by drawing different facial shapes. As I draw the eyes, I will then, ask them to choose and draw a set of eyes. The students can create animation by drawing angry, exhausted, laughing, surprised, or sleepy faces. No experience is required. Come prepared to...
-Observe exaggerated features on carton faces ( Cartoonist use few details, because they must tell their story in a limited space.) -Learn to draw animated expressions (Cartoonists focus on expressions to tell their story.)
