Class Experience

In this class, we will learn to draw a basic eye and mouth while introducing shortcuts to mastering facial portions and expressions in anime art. It is a slower pace class to help student understand and practice. We will also discuss briefly how the mouth and eyes have meaning to each character's personality and emotional state.

Students will learn to create anime eyes and mouth, starting with basic shapes.
This class is suited for those who are a beginner to intermediate.
Familiarity with the Anime-style will enhance the class experience.

The goal of the class is to help your child refocus and reconnect and draw mindfully. Your child will be introduced to taking chances with their choices in this step-by-step drawing class.

In the class, we will:
- Introduction
- Short-cut to Face Proportions & Eye Shape Meanings
- Drawing Activity
- Show / Process Each Piece (volunteer - so not required)
- Say our Good-Bye's

We will not draw full heads but rather focus on the mouth and eyes only.

There is no grade or judgment in the class. I ask that each student respect each other's time and input. The main objective is to work with compassion. Some experience with drawing may help the performance in the classroom.

Students can use pencils, a pencil, a sharpener, an eraser (no smudge prefer), a fine-tip pen, or a very thin marker. Students should use a blank piece of paper, a sketchbook, or a journal.

I ask that each student respect each other's time and input. I do ask that students are not late. Unfortunately, I may not admit students who are more than 10 minutes late because it is a time-sensitive activity. If you are late and could not get into the classroom, we can transfer your child to another date. Just let me know of the requested to transfer the day of the missed class.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

For all classes' safety, I asked that all students who are not verified show their faces at the beginning of class. Those who refuse will be placed in the waiting room or removed from the class.

Thank you for your consideration in this course.
