Draw and Write: Animal Directed Drawing for Preschool and Kindergarten Ages 4-6
In this beginner drawing class, we will draw a new animal each week, practice writing sight words, short vowel words and simple sentences. We work on social skills, draw animals with guidance and sometimes read a book!

Description
Class Experience
Students will learn to write a sentence describing their picture. Students will work on following step by step instructions. Students will create a drawing and color it.
I am a certified elementary teacher and have taught phonics, reading, writing and math for many years. Before teaching 2nd grade, I tutored students in reading comprehension, decoding words, math and science after school and during the summer. I was also a Title 1 reading intervention specialist for grades kindergarten-3rd grade focusing on reading fluency and comprehension strategies. I have worked in a preschool and pre-k setting as well working on a variety of literacy skills. In my 2nd grade class, we would create directed drawing pictures together for fun holidays throughout the year.
Your child will need: A pencil Crayons (or something to color with) White sheet of paper
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
