Class Experience
For this class, students will be learning how to draw an open rose, step by step, then I will be introducing them to a couple watercolor techniques: crayon or oil pastel resist and wet-on-wet. Creativity is highly encouraged in my classes. My classes are very laid back. We will introduce ourselves, then get right to work. I like to use two cameras: one on me, and one on my hand drawing the picture. Throughout the lesson, we will talk about what we're doing, how to change things up, show each...
Students will learn how to turn basic shapes and lines into a cupcake. Sometimes drawing is intimidating to children. I like to make it less so by helping them see that anything is possible, and they can accomplish an amazing drawing themselves, just by listening, and following along. Students will also come away with a couple watercolor techniques to use in the future.

-Watercolor paper (9x12 or 12x18 are two good sizes. Watercolor paper will work much better than regular paper) -Paint brushes of different sizes (1 small, 1 medium, 1 larger would be good) -Watercolors (the regular children's trays are fine) -Oil pastels or crayons (Oil pastels work a bit better for this painting. But if student does not have them, or you prefer them not using them since they can get messy, crayons will work fine)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
