In this one time class, students will begin by introducing themselves and telling us their favorite part of the movie, "Home Alone!" After our discussion, students will learn cool behind the scenes information about the movie, how it was filmed, and the real location of the Home Alone house! Finally, students will utilize step by step instructions to draw and decorate the Home Alone house! Each student will have a chance to work at their own pace and will have access to a slideshow if they need more time to finish! At the end of class, learners will have a very cool keepsake!

The goal for students is to build self confidence and creativity!

Parental Guidance
We will be using the website www.kahoot.it to log onto the trivia game! It is easiest to play with a second device or a split screen. I will read all of the questions out loud to the students!
Supply List
Pencil, fine tip marker, ruler and crayons or colored pencils.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

Hi! My name is Kristy Burgess! I teach a variety of classes involving positive thinking, leadership, yoga, and fitness! I earned both my Bachelor of Arts degree and Master of Education (M. Ed) degree from the University of Michigan and have been a teacher for 15 years in Michigan; teaching 7-12 grades. Most recently, I have spent the past 4 years teaching 8th grade! I believe the most important thing about learning is to ENJOY it! I love seeing children excited about learning and engaged in the process! I am a firm believer that all students need their voices to be heard and I love seeing students proud of the work they have accomplished!! On a personal note, I am a sports junky! I love to watch and play sports and I am also a dog lover! I have two Golden Retrievers!!! Hank is our oldest and he is 5, and Sam is our crazy young guy; who is 1!!!
