In this class young artists will learn how to draw an IceWing Tribe Dragon from the novel “Wings Of Fire”. My drawing in the image above is the exact picture we will draw. This is a live class. To prevent this class from being like any regular step by step tutorial you can find on the internet, I like to engage with the students (also I allow students to engage with one another if they choose). In the beginning of class I will conduct introductions. This is my way of breaking the ice in the beginning of class so students can be comfortable with myself and their peers. If your child does not wish to engage at all in class they do not have to. I understand that some children may not want to be social, if that is the case, they may wait patiently until the introductions are over. We are in a sensitive time worldwide so I am dedicated to providing a fun and safe space for children to not only learn but to have a chance to talk about their passions with like-minded peers around the world. The remaining duration of class will be solely dedicated to drawing. We will draw the exact picture of the dragon above. First, steps will be broken down to the simplest form by using common shapes that we are familiar with like circles and lines. After, we will build our dragon’s head shape, neck, face and details. Students will be following along with me as a draw. Depending on the speed of the students, we will color our dragon at the end and engage in more conversation. My teaching style is patient, fun and encouraging. My main concern, outside of teaching, is that each student is confident and comfortable. No drawing experience is needed for this class. Students can expect the following from this class: to learn how to a draw a detailed dragon and engage in conversation with myself and other classmates about Wings Of Fire!

Teacher expertise and credentials
I teach art classes for all ages and experience levels. My drawing styles include semi realistic, anime and Kawaii.
I have been drawing every since I was young and have had the pleasure to work on a couple of freelance projects over the years for musicians, authors and personal requests. Outside of my love for art, I am a mother, an Army Vet and an ESL teacher. My techniques are broken down to the simplest form in order to help every student understand how to create art. I believe drawing is a beautiful ability that everyone possesses. This ability allows a person to express something invisible from their imagination into something tangible that they can kept forever. The feeling of completing an art piece is amazing in itself. Unlocking those abilities in others is something I love doing. I like to view my personality as patient, understanding and fun. It’s important to me that these qualities are conveyed in class to help children feel comfortable and confident in what they’re doing.
