Class Experience

**NOTE: This class requires the students to have either taken my previous anime face drawing class "Draw Yourself in an Anime Style," or to have previous experience drawing faces, with a basic understanding of facial proportion.**

During the course of this class the students will learn how to draw the head from the profile (side) view, and from a 3/4 turn view, through an anime style character drawing. We will expand on basic knowledge of facial proportions and methods of drawing facial features, adapting them to these new perspectives. We will start by introducing ourselves, and then the students will be guided step by step through the process of drawing first a face in profile, then in 3/4, with opportunities along the way to ask questions and receive feedback.

Students will expand their ability to draw the head to two new angles, profile, and 3/4.

Hello! My name is Kenton and I teach classes on how to draw. I have been studying art for the past fourteen years, and have spent the past seven studying under professionals in the art industry, learning character drawing and design. I have many years of previous teaching experience through both private tutoring and teaching for online private schools, and have helped hundreds of students take their skills to the next level. My aim is to teach young artists the skills they need bring their drawings to the next level. My classes feature a heavy focus on the fundamentals of drawing, crucial skills such as shape design, form, anatomy, perspective, shading, and more, which are essential to the development of solid drawing skills no matter the subject matter. My classes are often student led, taught within the context of media that the students enjoy.
