Winter woodland Drawing class is back! Request a day and time and I'll try my best to accommodate. This one-time class stimulates creativity to envision and draw a woodland winter scene (with hibernating animals) then a cozy cabin interior with fireplace, both using selected puzzle shape outlines. We invent a story as we draw. A print-out of two pages of outlines will be provided (please have them ready before class starts). As learners observe me drawing, they begin to see the scene appear - and draw their own woodland scene. We may discuss interesting facts about the hibernating animals. At the end of the class, everyone will show their drawing for discussion. These can be coloured later, or redrawn again on their own. *To keep our online “studio” time together as professional as possible, please refrain from eating during our class. This is standard policy for any studio practice, and will ensure better outcomes for everyone. Thanks in advance.
Learning Goals
The learning goal is to visually problem solve by using imagination. We'll do this by turning a puzzle outline shape into something that contributes to the scene being drawn. Additionally, story telling and drawing skills are explored. We will also discuss what kind of animals hibernate during northern winter climates as we draw.
