Learn how to draw a beautiful portrait of a magical unicorn step-by-step in this fun and easy one-time class that is geared toward beginners.

Class experience

Students will learn realistic drawing - how to draw what they see rather than what they think they see. They will also learn how to create depth in their art to make it pop. They will learn how to select colors that look good together and how to add their own creative flair to their art. The end result will be a beautiful and magical drawing of a unicorn.
Hi! I'm Meg Navarro. :)

I’ve been teaching art for over a decade in classrooms and online at the art school I founded - Megapixels School of the Arts online.

My specialty is helping children learn to draw realistically while having fun! I encourage my students to not get caught up in perfectionism but rather to enjoy the process, which further unleashes creativity. They will learn techniques and tricks on how to make their drawings more lifelike.

In my spare time, I lead a team of about 20 volunteers, and we paint murals at schools, offices, etc..

Students are encouraged to use supplies that they already own. At minimum, they need a pencil, eraser and paper. They also need something that will add color, such as markers, gel pens, colored pencils, watercolor pencils, or paint. I will demonstrate using the following, but again, students do not need these exact supplies: -Prang washable markers and Prismacolor Watercolor Pencils (optional) -Watercolor Paper (optional) -Small watercolor brush and a cup for water (optional) -Pencil and eraser
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
