includedClass Experience
In this one-hour, live, online class, students will learn to draw a magical unicorn. I (Meg Navarro, the instructor) demonstrate and explain step-by-step as students follow along, creating their own magnificent artwork. Students can copy my picture or can add their own creative embellishments and colors. I encourage students to hold their art up to the camera for show and tell, although this is optional. Students are also welcome to ask for help during class at any point, so they never have to worry about getting stuck. This class is geared toward beginners and intermediate students are welcome as well. My main goals are that students have fun while creating art they can feel proud to display!
Learning Goals
Students will learn realistic drawing - how to draw what they see rather than what they think they see. They will also learn how to create depth in their art to make it pop. They will learn how to select colors that look good together and how to add their own creative flair to their art. The end result will be a beautiful and magical drawing of a unicorn.

Hi! I'm Meg Navarro. :)
I’ve been teaching art for over a decade in classrooms and online at the art school I founded - Megapixels School of the Arts online.
My specialty is helping children learn to draw realistically while having fun! I encourage my students to not get caught up in perfectionism but rather to enjoy the process, which further unleashes creativity. They will learn techniques and tricks on how to make their drawings more lifelike.
In my spare time, I lead a team of about 20 volunteers, and we paint murals at schools, offices, etc..
