50 mins in-class hoursClass Experience
In this one-time class, students will learn basic shape drawing as well as tips for more intricate line work while drawing a Spiderman Squishmallow. Students will learn some coloring techniques as well, and advanced students will learn some extra tips on hand positioning. Students will begin the class by learning the basic shape of the Squishmallow. After we draw the first few steps, students can choose whether to draw the more basic Spiderman or skip to the more advanced drawing based on their pacing and comfort. Students who choose to draw the basic Spiderman first can begin work on the more advanced version if class time allows. The Spiderman Squishmallow is a bit more complicated to draw than the standard Squishmallow and requires some additional intricate line work and uncommon shapes. Regardless of skill or age level, students can expect to come away from class with at least one Spiderman Squishmallow drawing! The intricate line work skill development will help students draw smaller and more detailed lines such as the "web" on Spiderman's outfit. Students are encouraged to bring their favorite Squishmallow or Spiderman toy to class and they will be given a chance to talk about it if they would like. Courses will be interactive in nature and students will be encouraged to share and talk about their Squishmallows, Spiderman, and what they know about Spiders.
Learning Goals
Students will learn and practice basic drawings skills for shapes and forms. They will also learn fun techniques for colorful drawings and some basic tips on more intricate line work.
