In this class, we will use simple shapes to construct the main shape of the phoenix, then focus on smaller details, such as individual "fire" feathers, eyes, beak, legs, etc. to create a detailed drawing of a flying phoenix. Because students work at varied paces, artwork may or may not be finished/colored before class ends. As a licensed art teacher, I have developed techniques for breaking down drawing lessons into simple, easy-to-follow steps. Once we get the basics done, I give my students freedom to complete their project using their own imagination, thereby giving them the opportunity to take what I have taught them to a different, fun and creative level.
Paper Pencil, eraser, pencil sharpener Sharpie or other black marker for outlining colored pencils, crayons, markers or any other coloring material of student's choice
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
