In this class, students will learn how to draw a beautiful Kawaii mermaid and her friend Mercat (mermaid + cat)! Wonderful theme for summer fun! I will guide the learners step-by-step on my digital sketchbook. Students will need paper, pencil, and eraser. I adjust the pace based on the students' experience level in each class. Please, note that we will not be coloring during the class unless we have extra time at the end. Students are encouraged to color after the class and post their masterpieces on our classroom page.

Hello! I'm Sophia Stafford and I'm excited to share my passion for drawing with your learners!
I teach a variety of drawing classes here on Outschool since March 2020.
I have a Bachelor's degree in Math and an MBA in Marketing. I have lectured undergraduate level Business classes and have tutored students of all ages in Math. Also, I have extensive training and experience in drawing both in traditional and digital media. My professional experience includes graphic and web design, and creating digital marketing materials.
My passion has always been drawing and creative arts. I enjoy helping students learn new things and boost their self-confidence through art. It's very fulfilling when I see my students improving their skills and feeling proud of their accomplishments.
