Drama Dress Up

Class

Average rating:4.8Number of reviews:(9)
Students will create characters based upon a costume that they wear or bring to class.

Class experience

Learners will be introduced to how actors use their bodies and voices and will learn some basic ensemble and storytelling skills.
Students should bring a character costume--this could be anything that they like. It can be a favorite movie or book character or a character of their own making. Costumes can be made from things around the house--fancy clothes, parents' clothes, hats or scarves, blankets, boxes, etc. I encourage learners to find costumes that allow them to move and do not completely cover their faces.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Learners may be physically active in this class. Please be sure they have a safe environment with room to move around, and that they are able to move safely in their costumes. Learners are encouraged to bring a water bottle to class, as we will be using our bodies and voices. If you feel your learner may require off screen supervision in order to stay safe in an active class, please have an adult close at hand for the duration of the class.
