In this ongoing class, we will draw & paint a new Dragon every week! Artists are going to learn how to build a dragon character, & learn basic drawing skills and techniques. I encourage artists to make each dragon their very own! If watercolor painting is not your thing you are welcome to use colored pencils, markers, or go digital!

During this ongoing course, the student will learn to draw and watercolor paint different Dragons and Hybrids inspired by the Wings of Fire Series. So you do not have to read the books to know the dragons, as all the dragons we draw can be created to be your artist's very own! ~ If watercolor painting is not your thing you are welcome to use colored pencils, markers, or go digital! ~Your artist will learn how to break down the dragon into simple shapes building the character and then adding...
Specifics we will learn: Contouring Shading Improve drawing skills Colors How to choose pencil types and hardness. How to choose paper and art mediums. How to use your paintbrushes How to choose and mix watercolor paint. Create character and form using texture and shading. Learning perspective views. I encourage artists to ask me any art questions!!!
2 files available upon enrollmentWatercolor Painting Class Supplies: See the colors in the class pictures that we will use. - Paper - "watercolor paper" 9 x 12 (Note this is special paper. Regular paper will tear and a canvas will not absorb) - Pencil and eraser - 2 qty - Jars of water - Paper towels or napkins - Paintbrushes - Round or flat tip - Paint tray for watercolor mixing - Paint - watercolor paints (see the picture for colors needed for each character) - Sharpie *Note that you will need to purchase a special paper labeled specifically as "Watercolor Paper" and "Watercolor Paints". ~ If watercolor painting is not your thins you are welcome to use colored pencils, markers, or go digital!
