25 mins in-class hoursClass Experience
In this lesson students can bring their own dragons to share with the class. We will practice introducing ourselves and our dragon friends to the class. Then we will read the story "The dragon's Coming After You" and act out the characters. This is a rhyming story which is great for pre-readers and contains a lot of movement to promote kinetic learning. We will listen for and practice identifying the rhyming words through out the story. For extra fun we will use our fine motor skils to each create our own dragon drawings to share with our families after class. Join me for some roaring good times, as we practice some rhymes.
Learning Goals
Students will improve their ability to recognize rhyming words while listening to the story. Student will display comprehension of the story by acting as the characters throughout the story and engaging kinetic learning thorough movement. Art work will allow the students to creatively display their own dragons using their imaginations.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello,
My name is Teacher TIffany. I have taught in a variety of classrooms for over 20 years. I love watching children excell and reach their full potential. I began working as an after school program teacher/director. I loved it and moved on to become an Early Interventionist working to help preschool children who faced challenges. I teach a variety of subjects including, preschool circle time, sensory fun, middle school hula hooping, and vegan cooking classes. I began teaching as an assistant and worked my way up while obtaining a bachelor's degree, to the position of Head Start Director. I believe learning should be fun and engaging. I want my students to learn and enjoy the class but also continue to play after the lessons have ended. My specialty is special needs children I want to provide a wonderful inclusive environment for all children to participate and feel safe in. I also enjoy hula hoop dancing and even have an LED and a fire hoop that I use to perform with. Thanks for your interest and I hope to see your child in my classroom soon.
