In this one time art course, students will use basic acrylic techniques to paint a dragon.
Class experience
We will discuss the basics of acrylic painting to make sure students know how to take care of brushes, clean the brushes and layer colors. The class is structured as a step by step demonstration. Students can add elements or make their own creative decisions in the artwork as much as they’d like. In this class I encourage conversation! Students can interact with me as much as needed. I also give positive feedback and suggestions along the way. There is no prior knowledge or art experience...
Students will practice using acrylic paints effectively and safely. Students will paint a dragon scene.
Ms. Jen has been an art educator for 13 years. She is a certified visual arts teacher through the state of California and earned her bachelor of Arts from the College for Creative Studies.
