Dragon Masters: Rise of the Earth Dragon is the first book of a series for newly independent readers. Drake, an 8-year old boy is snatched up by soldiers and taken to the castle. He is to be trained as a Dragon Master. At the castle he meets 3 other young Dragon Masters-in-training. The Dragon Masters must learn how to connect with and train their dragon. (description from Amazon) In this class we will be reading and discussing Dragon Masters: Rise of the Earth Dragon. Students need to have their own copy of the book. During each class we will read 1-2 chapters and have a discussion. Together we will fill out a graphic organizer that lists and describes the dragon masters and their dragons. Teacher expertise and credentials
*Please feel free to request specific book series that you would like me to include in my fall classes.
Hello! I’m so excited to teach classes on Outschool. Over the last 20 years I have taught 3rd grade, ESL, and Title reading and math to kindergarten-5th grade in public schools. I love teaching children how to read and getting them hooked on books. Over the years I’ve taught reluctant readers and enthusiastic readers. I’m always on the look out for interesting and engaging children’s books in order to be prepared for any student I’m privileged to teach.
