Class Experience
In this class, we will read and discuss the chapters in Dragon Masters: Rise of the Earth-Dragon. Students will meet the Dragon Masters, dragons, King Roland, a wizard, and learn about the mysterious dragon stone! In this first book of Dragon Masters, Drake is snatched by the king's soldiers and taken to the castle to be trained as a Dragon Master. Students will engage and demonstrate an understanding of literature through discussion. Using a character web provided in class students will describe characters in the book. Students will compare and contrast characters.
***Final project Students may make a dragon using materials he/she chooses and present to the class in the last meeting.
5 files available upon enrollmentStudents will need to have a copy of Dragon Masters: Rise of the Earth Dragon by Tracey West Materials to make their own dragon (optional) Pencil Printed Character webs provided in class
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
2 hours 30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
