In this class, we will be discussing the adventures of Drake as he finds out not only that he is a Dragon Master, but all that job entails. He will make friends along the way as well as meet some people who aren't so friendly. With dragons around, there's never a lack of adventure in these tales. Can Drake find his place as a true Dragon Master? Let's find out together! Class will consist of instructor-directed discussion. Discussion topics will include the reader's favorite moments in the story, parts of the story they found the most exciting, or who their favorite characters were and why. The class will conclude with a review of our feelings and opinions as we decide if we would recommend this book to a friend. We will discuss several literary elements such as setting and theme, all of which will be available on a printable page in the classroom during the week of class. Psst! You do not have to read the previous book to enjoy this story! Please do your reading before class time and remember to not let out any spoilers! All students are asked to have their cameras on as it helps keep students engaged and encourages conversation. Please raise your hand if you are ready to comment and respect the commentary of all other students by not interrupting. Class 1: Chapters 1-5 (pages 1-27) Class 2: Chapters 6-10 (pages 28-59) Class 3: Chapters 11-15 (pages 60-90), book reports, and literary elements!
