### How to Draw Dragons from Wings of Fire – Level 2 | Advanced Drawing Class for Kids

**Calling all young artists and Wings of Fire fans!** If your child loves drawing dragons and has completed **Level 1** this advanced **Wings of Fire dragon drawing class** is the perfect next step!

### What to Expect in This Advanced Dragon Drawing Class

🖌️ **Step-by-Step Dragon Drawing Tutorials** – Your child will learn how to draw complex and detailed dragon designs inspired by the *Wings of Fire* book series. Using guided drawing techniques, they will master sketching **full-body dragons, heads, faces, eyes, expressions, horns, wings, legs, feet, tails, and scales.**

🎨 **Create Unique Hybrid & Tribrid Dragons** – We’ll mix features from different dragon tribes, encouraging students to design their own **original characters (OCs)** based on the series. Students will also explore dragon anatomy, animal biology, and environmental adaptations—just like the book’s illustrator!

✏️ **Shading & Detail Techniques** – We’ll cover shading, texturing, and other **advanced art techniques** to make dragons look more dynamic and realistic. Students are welcome to use any medium, including **pencil, markers, colored pencils, or digital drawing tools.**

💬 **Interactive & Engaging Experience** – Students can share their artwork, get instructor feedback, and discuss their favorite *Wings of Fire* dragons. We may even play fun games inspired by the book series!

### Important Notes:
- **This is a drawing class** – We will not be reading the books during class, but *spoilers may be discussed.*
- Students must have completed**Level 1** before enrolling.
- Digital drawing is welcome, but instruction is focused on traditional art techniques.
- **Please troubleshoot technical issues before class.** The instructor cannot provide support for internet, hardware, or Zoom settings.

Parental Guidance

This class is a drawing class. Though we will not be reading any of the books during live class meetings, students may discuss the books during class and it should be noted that spoilers may occur.

Pre-Requisites

Should have completed The Level 1 Dragon Drawing Class.

Supply List

Students may use any drawing/coloring supplies they have on hand and are comfortable with though different mediums may be demonstrated by the instructor.

External Resources

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

I am an artist and photographer specializing in fine art, photography, and art education. I am also an avid reader and I love to discuss books and draw out my ideas and perceptions from them. In addition, I have been a homeschool educator for 16 years. I have taught children's art classes privately and through local after school  and children's museum programs. Her photography has appeared in Parents Magazine and numerous photography blogs. I enjoy finding connections between things that don't seem connected upon first glance.  To do that, I divide things down to their simplest parts and look for similarities. As a result I am able to break down seemingly complicated projects into simple step by step lessons. I also have a great appreciation for irony in art and life and try to infuse humor and silliness in my lessons and in my own work as well.
