Class Experience

In this art camp students will create a handmade book full of interesting facts about different kinds of dragons, including the eastern and western dragons, the Kukulkan and the hydra dragons. Students will get to chat with like minded individuals who also love dragons!
Students will also learn how to draw each of the different dragons with step by step drawing instruction. I will teach students how to use compositional space and geometric shapes to draw each dragon and it's habitat. We will discuss how to arrange illustrations with text to layout each page of the book. I will be using slides, digital art tools and a document camera to engage students with the new content while we have open discussions about what we love about dragons.
