45 mins in-class hoursClass Experience
In this one-time class, we will create a doodle page full of ocean and sea-themed drawings! We may draw items such as a dolphin, a sea turtle, a squid, a shark, fish, coral, seashells, and much more! We will have 3 pages with lots of (easy-to-draw) visual references that will help us along the way. Students will "free doodle" marine items using a drawing tool of their choice (pencil, marker, pen, a combination, etc.) and get to show off their personal creative flare. *This is not a step-by-step tutorial type of class, although drawing guidance will be provided if needed.* As we doodle, we will also have fun conversations about our drawings and any ocean/sea knowledge. At the midpoint [or end] of the lesson, we will have a short sea/ocean-themed movement break. We will resume with our doodling and share our progress as we go. By the end of class, every learner will have created an awesome, one-of-a-kind doodling page. ✏️😎👍 The overall learning environment is meant to be positive, fun, and supportive. Coloring will be optional. No previous experience required.
Learning Goals
Students will work on their doodling skills, drawing confidence, creativity, and socializing. Some learners may learn new marine flora and fauna.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Bachelor's Degree from California State University, Long Beach
Hello there and welcome! My name is Ms. Sarah. 🙋🏻♀️
I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Design. Also, I have 5+ years of experience working with children (ages 3-11) in both academic and recreational settings. I have worked as an Instructional Aide, After School Instructor, Science Camp Teacher, and Sunday School Teacher Assistant.
My biggest goal, as an educator, is to support children/students in their academic, social-emotional, and character development. No matter what the subject/topic at hand, it is my aim to engage learners in fun and meaningful lessons! Through the use of various teaching methods (visuals, games, body movement, discussions, etc.), I hope that students get to enjoy learning during our time together. 🤗
Some of the subjects that you may see me teach include: art, science, technology, life skills, 1st-2nd grade (math and ELA) supplemental lessons, etc. I am looking forward to planning and delivering helpful and interesting lessons for Outschool learners! 🤓😎
Outside of teaching on Outschool, some hobbies/activities I enjoy in my spare time include: gardening, photography, cooking, playing with my cats, etc.
