Description

Class Experience

This class is taught in English.
Students will gather to create, relax, and chat about their day.
Students will learn how to use a color wheel as a tool to design with analogous and complementary colors.
Students will have creative art experiences with permanent markers and watercolor paint.
The teacher has a master's degree in Integrating Arts into the Curriculum. She was an elementary public school teacher and small business owner of a tutoring business that focused on literacy through the arts. She has been teaching poetry, art, animal, and early literacy classes on Outschool since March 2020 and doodling classes since January 2021.
On the weeks the teacher sends a template for students to trace, it’s advisable they trace ahead of class so our class time can be spent doodling and painting.
Watercolor Paper (important because it absorbs paint better than copy or construction paper) Permanent Markers (Sharpies) black plus other color and metallic pens of your choosing Watercolor paint Paint brushes-various sizes Water Paper towels From time to time there will be an optional teacher-provided template for the student to cut and trace on watercolor paper before class
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Depending on skill level, students may need assistance cutting out shapes and tracing them on watercolor paper before class.
