Beginner - Advanced Level
Students will use permanent markers and watercolor paint to make a new design each day of camp. The atmosphere will be social and relaxing with a warm and engaging teacher. A color wheel will be used as a tool to teach the concept of analogous, and complementary colors. Learners will be given the option to add a positive or inspirational quote to their art piece. January 8, 9, 10 Day 1 Butterflies Day 2 Flamingos Day 3 Hedgehogs January 15, 16. 17 Day 1 Koala Day 2 Sea Horse Day 3 Dragonfly The teacher will begin each lesson with a few Google Drive slides that will inspire designs, colors, and inspirational quotes. Then, students will jump right into a drawing based on the day's theme. Ms. Judy will draw along with students using a document camera so the young artists can see exactly how some of the doodles are made. There will be plenty of time for doodle and color choice creativity in this class. Students can ask for help or use their imaginations to make beautiful doodle art. At the end of class, students will be given a chance to share their art with their peers.
Learning Goals
Students will gather to create, relax, and chat about their day.

Supply List
-Watercolor Paper (important because it absorbs paint better than copy or construction paper) -Permanent Markers (Sharpies), extra-fine and fine point, plus other colors or metallic pens of your choosing -Watercolor paint -Paint brushes, various sizes -Water -Paper towels ****The teacher may provide a template for some design that students may cut out and trace on watercolor paper if they'd like.

She was an elementary public school teacher and small business owner of a tutoring business that focused on literacy through the arts.
