In this 2 day class, students will use their imagination by turning a doodle into an illustration. They will use their illustration to create a story map, and their story map into a story. #ACADEMIC

US Grade 1 - 2
Give a child pencil and paper and ask them to write a story, and they usually have a hard time coming up with a topic. Give them a doodle page and ask them to draw a picture, and they will jump right in and get busy. Now, let's turn that doodle into a story! This class works great for reluctant and excited writers. Students will learn how to take a doodle, turn it into and illustration, and write a story.
Getting students to enjoy writing is hard. This is an activity that has always worked for me. I look forward to sharing it with your learner.
Homework Offered
Students will be expected to complete their illustrations and story maps before day 2. I will encourage them to edit and post their stories to the classroom for all to enjoy after the second day is over.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
