Class Experience

Doodle, draw, and cultivate more calm in your life! Join us each week in Doodle Me Calm for a variety of funtastic drawing games and mindful art activities.

Each week, your tween will play a fun drawing game, learn what mindfulness is, and cultivate creativity with different mindful drawing exercises. Each artist will also have the chance to share their drawing if they choose at the end of each class during our closing gratitude circle.

Doodle Me Calm is a safe space for all learners to embrace their individuality. Our classroom is a warm, welcoming community of mindful artists who want to cultivate more calm + creativity in their lives.

The mindful drawing for each week will be guided, but artists are encouraged to express their unique style! Each week's class has a stand alone theme, and artists are not required to attend weekly. Please feel free to join us to Doodle Yourself Calm whenever your schedule permits! Themes for each week are as follows:

Week of 4/2: Mindful Me: Make a Mindful Mosaic Using your Hands
Week of 4/16: Breathe & Be: Draw Your Breath
Week of 4/23: Loop De Loop: Doodle Different Emotions with Loop Art
Week 4/30: "B" Me: Create a Mindful Monogram
Week 5/7: Hair-rific Humans: Create Hair-Raising Self-Portraits using Tangle Art
Week 5/21: Wave Breath: Embrace Calm with Ocean Art

Artists are asked to bring a blank unlined journal, pencil, thin black marker, and colored pencils to each class. If a journal isn’t available, artists can make all projects using white printer paper (no specialty supplies are required for this class).
