Love sweets and treats? Let's have drawing some in a fun doodle style! Students will use simple lines and shapes to create a doodle style drawing of animals, insects, etc. We will practice drawing with pencil, outline with marker and finish with quick color. Week of 1: Ice cream cone and Cupcake Week of 2: Milkshake and Popsicle Week of 3: Ice cream cone and Candy Apple Week of 4: Hot Cocoa and Donut During the class two cameras will be used. Students will be able to see my drawing and listen to my directions along the way. As always students are encouraged to make their own creative choices as well! Questions and conversation are welcomed as we work via chat or verbally. At the conclusion of class all sharing will be optional and supported with positive discussion. No previous experience required. Each class may vary by a few minutes based on the critique time and interaction.
Learning Goals
Students will practice drawing while learning about the line, shape and color, the elements of art.

Hello! My name is Kim. I am passionate about Art, it truly makes our world a better place! I have taught art in public schools for over 8 years and privately for 4 years. However, I have loved art since I was a small child! I have always loved doodling! Sharing the love of art with students is especially fun. In addition I have taught Preschool for over 2 years.
I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Art Education from The College of New Jersey with a minor in Psychology, concentration in Art Therapy. During those studies I worked on various areas of art from sculpture, to printmaking to color theory and much more. In addition I studied the art of teaching specifically in the area of art education. I also have a Masters in the Art of Teaching from Marygrove College.
I live in a coastal town with my husband, 3 girls and miniature goldendoodle. Besides creating art and being crafty I enjoy baking, reading and traveling...especially to Disney World! Can't wait to see you in class.
