In this one time class students will experiment with different tree doodles within a painted landscape.

In this is online class we will draw trees in a doodling style using pencil and sharpie marker. We will various line types along with shapes to create the doodles. To complete the landscape will paint with watercolor in warm or cool colors. This class will begin with introductions, discussion of the element of line and shape. Next we will practice different tree doodles. Students will then choose some to draw on the landscape. We will discuss the color wheel, warm and cool colors. Students will then use watercolor paints to add a color group to their landscape. During the class two cameras will be used. Students will be able to see me drawing and listen to my instructions along the way. Questions are welcomed as we work. At the conclusion of the class sharing will be optional. No previous experience required.
Learning Goals
Students will learn about line and color while doodling trees and painting with watercolor.

Hello! My name is Kim. I am passionate about Art, it truly makes our world a better place! I have taught art in public schools for over 8 years and privately for 4 years. However, I have loved art since I was a small child! I have always loved doodling! Sharing the love of art with students is especially fun. In addition I have taught Preschool for over 2 years.
I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Art Education from The College of New Jersey with a minor in Psychology, concentration in Art Therapy. During those studies I worked on various areas of art from sculpture, to printmaking to color theory and much more. In addition I studied the art of teaching specifically in the area of art education. I also have a Masters in the Art of Teaching from Marygrove College.
I live in a coastal town with my husband, 3 girls and miniature goldendoodle. Besides creating art and being crafty I enjoy baking, reading and traveling...especially to Disney World! Can't wait to see you in class.Reviews
