Class Experience

Over time they will improve their ability to draw clear lines with a solid foundation in coloring, angles, and accents. They will learn the various lettering concepts like bubble letters and graffiti lettering.
I have been a doodler my whole life. What I didn't know then, that I know now, is doodling helps me concentrate. As an adult, I still find that I can retain much more of the information being taught if I can doodle at the same time. So after many years of doodling, I have become quite good at it. In February of 2021, I started a TikTok account to share my doodles and connect with others who enjoy watching the doodles come to life. In less than a month I have nearly 60,000 followers (and climbing) and one of my doodles went viral with almost 3 Million views and 500,000+ likes. It has been a lot of fun to share my doodles and see so many people around the world who enjoy the same thing.
No homework, but hopefully a lot more doodling!
I use fine point and regular point black sharpie markers for my doodles, and then a pack of markers to color. Students are welcome to use pen, pencil, crayons, and color pencils as well for their doodles. I find the markers to be more satisfying to color with, and the lines cleaner, but any doodle materials will do. Below is a list of the specific materials I use in my TikTok videos if the student would like to duplicate my specific style of doodling.

- Bee Artist Marker Paper: https://www.amazon.com/Bee-Paper-Sketch-9-Inch-12-Inch/dp/B0027A3DKU
- Fine Point Black Sharpie Markers: https://www.amazon.com/Sharpie-37001-Permanent-Markers-Ultra/dp/B00006IFI3
- Regular Point Black Sharpie Markers: https://www.amazon.com/Sharpie-Permanent-Markers-Point-4-Pack/dp/B073YHQ5ZD
- Shuttle Art Color Marker Set: https://www.amazon.com/Permanent-Assorted-Doodling-Shuttle-Art/dp/B07DG22DQK
- Caliart Color Marker Set: https://www.amazon.com/Caliart-Permanent-Highlighters-Illustration-Underlining/dp/B073TWPHQN?psc=1

Regular markers, pens, and sharpies will do just fine though!
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
