This is a one-time class. It is time for some fun Girl talk! Let's make some new friends! Let's share our favorite hobbies, sports, books, and many more topics that you would like to share. There will be some starter questions to help get the conversations going but the girls will choose what they would like to discuss. Depending on how many girls: Introductions-We will begin class with getting to know each other: First name only and what is their favorite hobby, sport, or activity. I will start with a question and I am sure the conversations will follow. The girls will get to talk to each other. I will monitor their conversations but will let the girls lead the topics. Times will vary depending on how many girls and how comfortable they feel talking with each other. As the girls talk they can draw/doodle. Free draw and doodling will be encouraged but not mandatory. We will be sharing their drawings/doodles (not mandatory). It will be a fun time meeting new friends. We will end class by sharing our doodles/drawings.
Learning Goals
Students will learn social skills. It is never easy to make friends but this class will help with socializing amongst their age group. The girls will learn conversation skills and how to share ideas within a group. The girls will also learn listening skills. They will learn to take turns talking and giving everyone a chance to share. I will make sure that every girl has a chance to talk. I will encourage those that are shy to share but I will not force them to talk. For some girls it may take a whole class to feel comfortable and that is ok. Listening is also a very important social skill.

Welcome to my classroom!
Hello! My name is Angie Lampietti. I have my B.A. in English from California State University, Long Beach. I am also a TESOL certificated teacher. I have taught Pre-kindergarten and Transitional Kindergarten. I was a Substitute Teacher (Kindergarten-12 grade) in Public and Private schools. I taught a year of RTI (Reading intervention) classes to Kindergarten, 2nd grade, and 5th grade. I am presently an ESL Teacher and have been teaching for 4 years.
I knew growing up that I wanted to be a teacher. It really was a dream come true and I have learned so much from the experience. I feel it is important for children to enjoy learning. Have fun with how they learn. Play and sharing are so important in learning. As a Transitional Kindergarten teacher, it was my job to teach kids how to get along, share, respect our friends, have fun in play and learn.
I have an amazing husband and 3 fun and amazing children ages 15, 12, and 9. My family loves nature walks, amusement parks, and spending time together. I am so lucky to be working online and being home for my kids. I do miss working in my Brick and Mortar classroom and I miss my TK kids but seeing the smile on my own kid's faces is awesome!
Please check out my classes. I have classes for all age groups. Keep checking back as more classes get added. Thank you!
