In this one-time course, we will collect scraps from around the house and turn them into art! This is a mostly just-for-fun class, but we will discuss the importance of art, how junk can become art, and how art is different for everyone.

Description
Class Experience
This course will have your child looking at garbage and scraps in a whole new light! Students will come to class with different things they have found around the home, whether it's from the recycling bin, or the pile of junk in the corner, and will use their creative minds to turn it into a masterpiece! Outline: 1. student and teacher introductions 2. discuss what art is 3. show our scraps to each other 4. talk about how things that may look like trash can be turned into something beautiful ...
The goal of this class is to identify what art is and how to create artwork out of anything, even for the youngest of learners!
Students are encouraged to bring scraps, art supplies, glue, scissors (parental guidance suggested), recyclables, etc. to create their one-of-a-kind masterpiece.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
No formal assessment will be performed.
25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
