Class Experience

US Grade 3 - 6
Students will be introduced to the definition of domestication and we will discuss the difference between wild animals, tame animals, and domesticated animals. Then students will be challenged to use the annotate tool, geography skills, and knowledge of animals and discussion to determine where on a map of the world the animals were domesticated. We will focus on observational skills and investigating the various traits of the animals using the socratic teaching method of asking questions. "Why do you think these animals might have this trait?" for example.
