Dolly and Me: Let's Play Bingo Together! (Kindergarten Sight Words)

In this class, students can bring their doll or stuffed animal to class. Both the human learner and the doll or stuffed animal will each get their own boards so we can all play together!  We will begin the class with introductions. Students will introduce themselves and their doll or stuffed friend that they have brought to class. 

Students will need to be able to have letter recognition and the ability to read at a kindergarten level or above. This pre-primer and primer lists of Dolch words are often used in many kindergarten class rooms with emergent readers. This class is not a lesson in sight word recognition, but a reinforcement of previously taught skills that they have practiced or mastered in the past. Sight words are so important for emergent readers and Bingo games are a great way to help young readers to practice these skills. During the class, we will play several rounds and celebrate when others win. In class, my lesson will be lively and interactive since Bingo is fun! Human learners should help their friend out by marking their board when a word is called.
