In this Basic Financial Literacy class, students will learn the essential skills needed to manage their finances effectively. Topics covered include budgeting, debt management, and investing basics. Students will participate in hands-on activities such as paying off debt, creating personal budgets, and reflecting on financial mistakes. The class will also feature a fun and educational stock market simulation game, allowing students to gain practical experience in investing. The structure of the class combines interactive lessons with group discussions, practical exercises, and real-world applications, making learning both engaging and impactful. By the end, students will have a solid foundation to make informed financial decisions that will impact their future in a positive and fruitful manner.

over 4 WeeksUnit 1: The Basics
Lesson 1:
Introducing to Personal Finance
Students will learn the basics of earning, budgeting, saving, and investing. Students will also be given a quiz that will determine how financially literate they are before taking the class.

Lesson 2:
Goals, Budgets, & More
Students will set do in-class activities such as discussing financial goals & creating a budget. Students will learn about income and expense. There will also be a secret "bonus lesson" given (hint: it rhymes with axes)

Unit 2: Investments
Lesson 3:
The Stock Market
Students will learn about the stock market, stock market crashes, and stock market corrections. Students will do an in-class activity where we will analyze stock market crashes and watch exactly how the stock market works.

Lesson 4:
Various Investments
Students will learn about index funds, ETFs, and real estate. Students will do an in-class activity that shows them how to properly select a viable property management company instead of falling into the financial stress of selecting an inept property management company.
