Class Experience
This class includes music appreciation, a literature discussion, guided self expression activities, and foundational ballet movements. It aims to be a well rounded, multi faceted experience of the culture of ballet, not just the steps.
I teach doll + me yoga here in Chicago, and have led creative ballet programming in schools, daycares, and community centers for nearly a decade.
Bring a doll or stuffy. American Girl style posable dolls will be easiest, but anything is fine.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Please ensure dancers have a few feet to move safely in all directions. Dancers will be most successful in stretchy clothing they are comfortable in: leggings, t-shirts, leotards, tights, shorts, etc. Socks or ballet shoes recommended
