In this one time class students can bring their dogs to class and tell us all about their dog! They will tell everyone the name of their dog, the age, breed and an interesting fact. They will also get the opportunity to show off a trick their dog knows how to do. I will lead this by example with my own dogs. Other students will be encouraged to ask each other questions about the different dogs. This class will not only be enjoyable, but it will help the students build communication skills...
I have been a dog trainer for 13 years. During every first class I lead this type of discussion so that students can know one another and the dogs around them.
The student should have a real dog of their own or the family dog.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Parents may need to be on standby (off-camera) to assist their Learner with the dog.
