In this course, students will be taught how to perform the Place command with their respective dogs. Students will then perform the exercise after instructor's explicit modeling of the Place command with her dog. Students will perform the Place command several times with their dogs during the class session and ask any questions about this exercise. We will brainstorm reasons as to why the Place command is beneficial for their dogs and them. Students will need a place bed, a dog bed, a thick blanket, or a rug/mat for their dog for this exercise. Each dog should also have a leash and collar on it prior to the start of class. Students will need lots of treats for their dogs in order to perform this exercise with their dogs.
