Uh oh! Crud has escaped from the trap Dog Man set for him! Help capture Crud before he takes over the world! Gather clues in the city to crack the code and put Crud in his place before it's too late. Learners will take turns "looking" behind all new Dog Man characters for clues. They will be given time to solve each math problem, and the teacher will go over a strategy to solve each problem as they go along. Some clues will be movement breaks to keep our brains ready for more learning! Math topics are second grade aligned and ideal for second graders or for first graders who are ready for a challenge! There will be opportunities for the child to interact with the teacher through questioning and sharing of answers if they are comfortable. Students will use the chat box to send the teacher answers privately. My goal is for all learners to have fun while moving and learning! Note: It will be helpful if your child knows how to "unmute" themselves and how to enter an answer in the "chat" function. *Permission to use the Dog Man picture was obtained from the publisher*
Learning Goals
Students will improve their math skills in the areas of place value, addition and subtraction story problems, telling time to the 5 minutes on an analog clock, and working with arrays

Teacher expertise and credentials
For the last seven years, I have been a first grade teacher focusing on reading, writing, math, science, and social studies. I also taught Pre-K for four years, providing play-based foundational lessons in literacy and math. In addition, I taught English as a Second Language online to children in China for one year. I am also a proud Mom to three boys, ages 19, 15, and 13.
As a first grade teacher, I LOVE teaching reading and math to young learners while incorporating movement and brain breaks throughout my lessons! I especially enjoy supporting struggling readers by creating lessons on a wide range of topics (phonemic awareness, vocabulary, fluency, comprehension, phonics). I have a strong belief that children need movement to support their growing brains, and I love teaching classes that incorporate movement throughout. I am fluent in Spanish and will be adding beginning Spanish classes for young learners soon.
