Join other Dog Man fanatics for this fun vocabulary game class. The words come from Dav Pilkey's newest graphic novel, Mothering Heights. We will learn ten vocab words and then play some fun games to help you remember the meanings of the words, so you can understand your dog man book a little bit better. The games will include matching words to definitions, synonyms, and pictures, making silly sentences, and a mystery word game. During mystery word, we will create a character from Dog Man for every missed letter. Most of the words included are three syllables and are found throughout the book!

Hi, I specialize in teaching reading. It is my passion to introduce students to books and develop a love for reading in kids of all ages. I have a masters degree in education from Columbia University's Teachers College and a special education certificate in special education from Brooklyn College in New York City. I have worked as a peer tutor, as a test prep tutor, and as an Orton-Gillingham tutor, helping students overcome various reading difficulties to achieve their goals. I also worked as a reading teacher and a special education teacher at a title 1 charter school in NYC. I believe that every child has the potential to become an avid reader, we just have to ignite their passion and build their skills in an individualized way. I recently moved from NYC to live near the ocean. My hobbies include going to the beach, traveling, playing tennis, and or course READING!
