Description

Class Experience

In this class, students will learn how to write a comic. Their comic will be inspired by Dav Pilkey's 'Dog Man' books. 
We will look at part of a 'Dog Man' book together. We will notice common themes throughout the book, including illustrations, language, and speech. 
Students will learn how to draw the famous character from the book. They will use their character to write their own comic. Students will be encouraged to use speech bubbles in their comics.

  1 file available upon enrollment
A comic template will be provided. This template should be printed off before class. Students will also need a pencil and crayons/markers.

45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
