Class Experience
In this session, we will be discussing the adventures of Dog Man in book #9. The mayor has had enough of Dog Man's shenanigans in the ninth book from bestselling author and artist Dav Pilkey. Dog Man's really done it this time! He hands over his badge and clears out his desk! With his friends at his side, can Dog Man dig himself out of this hole and paw his way back onto the force? Let's find out together! Class will consist of some open discussion as well as teacher led discussion....
Students will improve social skills by open discussion topics. To add, students will learn literacy elements of a story.
I have taught over 10 years in the private school, homeschool and online settings. I have taught core subject in grades Pre K-8, as well as life skills and core subjects in grades 9-12. I am TESOL certified and have taught virtual ESL courses for over 4 years to Pre-K and elementary students. I have taught Teen ministry classes for a few years in a Christian setting. I enjoy teaching kid entrepreneurship, science experiments, cooking skills, ELA and reading activities. Whether I am teaching elementary, middle or high school, I love to engage with students and help discover new passion for learning.
Students will need to read the book prior to class. Learners will need to read at least 3 chapters a week prior to class. Reading at least 3 chapters will take at least 30 minutes to 60 minutes each week. Students will be encouraged to create their own comic strip to present during our final session.
-Basic supplies for comic strips (paper, pens, crayons, pencils, markers.) -Cardstock, thin poster paper, or file folder of just about any size. (4 pieces) -scissors -glue stick/glue -ruler -photographs, magazines, or recycled picture books
45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.

Student will need to read Dog Man: Grime and Punishment: From the Creator of Captain Underpants (Dog Man #9) by Dav Pilkey. Handouts will be provided prior to each class.
