Class Experience
Calling all Dog Man fans! Let's get together and read about Dog Man, write about Dog Man, and draw Dog Man characters! In this class, we will talk about our favorite parts of the story. Learners are welcome to bring their Dog Man book, characters, and drawing to share with other learners. Learners do not need the books to attend this class. We will begin class with share outs about Dog Man favorites, such as characters or problems in the story! After that, I will do an engaging read aloud...
Learners will gain confidence in their speaking and writing by sharing their thoughts with others. Learners will improve their vocabulary. Learners will improve reading comprehension through questioning, visualization, predictions, summarizing, identifying main ideas, inferencing, connecting, comparing & contrasting and analyzing the text Learners will ask and answer questions and practice speaking and listening. Learners will improve their fine motor and communication skills. Learners will learn about form and construction using basic shapes to create a drawing of characters and creatures. Learners can improve their storytelling skills. Learners will improve their writing skills through practice. Learners will listen to other's writing and provide positive feedback. Learners will practice the mechanics of grammatically correct writing.
