Dog Breeds: Shih Tzu
What's included

This Outschool class is about the Shih Tzu dog breed. My students will learn new facts about this breed. They will discover the origin, size, and temperament of this breed. They will also learn a bit about dog shows, as this is a popular breed for showing. We will try our best to draw this dog together at the end of class. Your child may want to bring a notebook to class. They can write the breed name at the top, and they can add notes about the breed as our class progresses. Either at the bottom, or on the back, they add their drawing. I have many dog breed classes listed. So, sign up for them individually, and continue to add to your Dog Breed book! My teaching style is very energetic and fun. It is always my goal that all students (if they are comfortable) have a chance to speak in class. We can take turns sharing and reading. I often utilize my mute button to insure that all students can hear each other and only speak when it is their turn. They can raise their hand in class just as they would in a traditional school setting, but of course, I enjoy a more relaxed atmosphere. I will guide your Outschool student through Google slides as we explore the adorable Shih Tzu together.

Teacher expertise and credentials
My name is Teacher Kender! I obtain the following: BA in theatre, early childhood certification, elementary certification grades 1-6, and a master's degree in elementary reading. The most fun I have while teaching is when I can combine the two. I love digging into books and exploring the characters. I always read with crazy expression and sound effects. My read alouds are exciting and fun! I can teach your child to read, and I can teach them how to perform well in an audition. My available classes list will vary because of my love of the theatre and my passion for lower elementary. I was a classroom teacher for six years. All six of those years were spent teaching first grade. I taught ESL online for 5 years, and I have been teaching a variety of classes on Outschool since the summer of 2020. It is my philosophy that more is caught than taught. So, being a good example for your children is key. Surrounding them with others who instill respect, knowledge, and common sense is vital. Finding a teacher who can bring information to them in an exciting and fun way so that it sticks for a lifetime... that is priceless. Let's do this! See you in the classroom.
***NOTE: I will always teach. If the class has one student, I will still teach!***
