US Grade 3 - 5
Let's talk about all things related to dogs and puppies in this ongoing class. Each week will have a topic for discussion. Some weeks it might be a specific breed of dog presented, some weeks a certain training skill highlighted, and some weeks it could be a fun topic related to dogs, such as showing and dog sports. The topic will be chosen by the learners in class for the following week. I will choose the topic for the first meeting. No dog experience necessary to enjoy this class, just an interest in learning more. Each week an independent topic is presented, so a learner can join in at any time as the material doesn't build from week to week. I will start each class with an introduction to that day's topic through pictures, lectures, and personal experiences. Discussion about the topic will be open for the remainder of class time. I will present questions to facilitate conversation. Participation is encouraged, but not required. Turn taking and active listening will be practiced. Let's get together and share our passion for all things canine! Week 1 topic: Herding Dogs Week 2 topic: Dogs are my passion! There has never been a time in my life that I haven't been owned by at least one dog. I actively compete and train in several dog sports with different breeds, and my canine partners are multiple title holders. I enjoy helping others train their dogs whether in be in obedience, tricks, or dog sports. Recently my written adventures in agility has been professionally published.
